A quote to reflect about....

And when he died, I suddenly realized I wasn't crying for him at all, but for the things he did. I cried because he would never do them again. He woul never carve another piece of wood or help us raise doves and pigeons in the back yard or play the violin the way he did, or tell us the jokes the way he did. He was an individual. He was an important man. I've never gotten over his death. Often I think, what wonderful carvings never came to birth because he died. How many jokes are missing from the world. He DID things to the world. The world was bankrupted of ten million fine actions the night he passes on."

I decided to talk about this extract from "FAHRENHEIT 451"because since we read this book, at the beggining of the year, I had always remember this quote; I'll never forget it. I think that what it says is something wonderful, it is so truth that at the moment that we read it I satarted to think in many situations that I' ve lived in my life and...after that I was able to understand them better!

When a person dies, he/she will be remembered because of all his/her actions during the time he was alive. And this quote, as Granger said, also remembered me to my grandfather, who did a lot of good actions when he lived. He was a wonderful person. Many times, I think how it would be if he was alive, and how I would share moments with him as in past times; I miss him so much, but I realized I miss more what he did while his time in this world...I am glad because of the infinit good things he left me before dieing. He left his footprint in my heart, but I know that he also did in other person's hearts.

Finally, what this quote is trying to say is that everyone in this world is remembered because of what they have done during thair lives. A person who didn't do anything, will hardly be remembered by someone (as Millie here), she only could leave ashes after her death.

6 years of the third World's Disaster!!

The Septmber 11, 2001 attack -often referred to as 9/11- consisted on a serie of coordinated terrorist suicide attacks by Islamic extremists on that date upon the United States of America.

That morning, nineteen terrorists affiliated affiliated with al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. Each team of hijackers included a trained pilot. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the World Trade Center in New York City-one plane into each tower-; result the collapse of both buildings and irreparable damage to nearby buildings.

The hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon in Arlington Country, Virginia, near Washington D.C. Passengers and members of the flight crew on the fourth aircraft attempted to retake control of their planes from the hijackers; that plane crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville in rural Somerset Country, Pennsylvania. In adittion to the nineteen hijackers 2974 people died as an immdiate result of the attacks, and the death of at least one person from lung disease was ruled by a medical examiner to be a result of exposure to the toxic dust of the planes.

I think that this dramatic event have shocked peolple all around the world and we still remebering it and thinking about it 6 years after the disaster, it is qite impossible not to do it, don't you think?

So I hope you reflect about this fact and think how lucky we are to live in a non-developed country (-besides it have some desadvantages-), but also think about all these victims and their's families, who were as shock as us when this happend!!It is a good idea to look into the past sometimes and think about others besides we don't even know them; and try to give them our support (), they are going to feel it in their hearts...=)

An Equal World

What is going on with this new society that we are building day by day?It is upside down or it is only a new view throught life?Are sexes acting in a different way? As we have seen, roles of men and women are in constant movement, they change every minute; and as a consequence of this, experts say that both sexes need of each other to survive.
It is no fashionable to be chauvinistic any more, that couldn't be accepted today. We are not living in the 50s, where girls were marriedat the age of eighteen and they grew up in a society with a menhtality very different from ours. They have to live for their husbands and dedicate their whole life to their children and house-keeping; but fortunately that has changed. Women and men have to be treated equally.
Nowadays it is necessary for both to be tough and tender; so in this way they could be albe to develop their qualities as parents, workers and citizens better. Without the existence of the women, it wouldn't be possible the existence of the men, and the other way round. This concept is so obvious that we tend to forget it most of the time.
On the one hand, women need to be tough because we live in a world of violence whre it is really necessary to survive from ourselves. We can not be in life depending on other persons to be right. People have to learn how to defend and be safe without anyone else supporting them.
While on the other hand, men also need to be tender to develop their roles. Today everything is changing. Men do not have only one obligation in life any more, as it used to be in other times; now they learn not only to be a dad, but also a mum. They do the washing up and take care of the children while the woman is working. This quality is necessary in ours days to bring up a family.
As a conclussion, we can say that today both sexes need from each other, otherwise they could not be completed persons if it is not in this way. Both need these two qualities for their characters because as time passes roles change. We were created to act together and share qualities; at the same time qualities were created for both sexes.

A song that feed your heart
I have once listen to a song that really touch me. I don´t know really why but the lyric is one of the bests I ve listen in my life. It makes you reflect about the world in which we live every day and in which, our work is to fight for a "better place" -as the song says-; we have to make a better place not only thinking in the present, and in the persons that live here today; it is indispensable to think in the future generations (our sons or doughters, and theirs sons and doughters, and this way). This song propose us an imaginary world in which everybody HAS to be happy.
Love is something fundamental to live in society, also as the song says, and without it people wouldn't be happy and relate with other members of this society.
We have to try to build every day a better place, learning about the mistakes that we've had yesterday, so we can make of "tomorrow" the best place of alls. If we are able to put a little of our own and change our mentality, little by little the world will a place that each person will enjoy to live in; so don't stop thinking that the change is possible, and start to make the change on your own, so this way it will be possible to make in the world.
